Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager to work in our Stratford-upon-Avon store. You will be responsible for day-to-day store operations, acting as the primary manager on shift and ensuring the shop runs smoothly while upholding our standards of service and safety.

You will coach and develop a small team of managers, drive performance against KPIs, and engage in scheduling and remuneration tasks. Occasional support for adjacent stores may be required as part of the network.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering brilliant customer service.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced store environment.
• Able to meet or exceed KPIs and targets.
• Experience handling employee relations, disciplinaries and attendance.
• Comfortable leading operations in the absence of senior management.

Responsibilities

• Run the store day-to-day with accountability for the full shop.
• Manage performance, scheduling and pay with a small team of managers.
• Ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Assist other stores when needed in a network of convenience stores.
• Lead operations and coach the team to maintain high service standards.
