Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer & Trading Manager to run daily store operations with a small team of managers and ensure seamless service and safety standards.

You will lead people, coach teams to deliver outstanding customer service, and monitor KPIs while resolving employee relations issues. The role may involve supporting nearby stores during busy periods, focusing on availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering brilliant customer service and coaching teams.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Experience meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, satisfaction).
• Ability to manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters and absence management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to ensure store runs smoothly every day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day store operations and accountability for the full shop.
• Collaborate with team to serve customers efficiently and safely.
• Lead people management, performance coaching, scheduling and pay where required.
• Occasionally support another store in network when needed.
