Job summary

Clarks is seeking a Store Manager for our Bolton Middlebrook store on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will lead the store team, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, recruiting and developing staff, managing inventory and cash handling, and analysing performance to improve revenue. The role requires flexibility to work weekends/bank holidays and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in a retail environment with leading a team in a fast-paced setting.
• A passion for retail and a track record of delivering strong results.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to engage and motivate the team.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members to maximise performance and engagement.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse sales reports, and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
