Job summary

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running all aspects of the store and to lead the sales team to achieve commercial objectives. You will deputise during Store Manager absences and help maintain a welcoming, high-performing environment.

You will demonstrate strong selling behaviours, coach and develop staff, and use CSAT insights to enhance the customer experience. The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication, and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management with a track record of achieving targets.
• Ability to coach and develop a sales team to meet store KPIs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions.
• Proven capability to inspire a team and drive customer-focused results.
• Experience with Visual Merchandising and in-store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling behaviours and lead the sales team to achieve personal KPIs.
• Support Store Manager to engage, coach and develop the team to hit sales targets.
• Oversee sales floor and maintain high standards of floor control.
• Use CSAT insights to improve customer experience and store operations.
• Support store operations and Visual Merchandising to meet standards.
• Upskill knowledge of products and educate the team to drive sales.
• Prioritise tasks to meet business needs while protecting sales and service.
• Provide regular feedback to motivate the team and improve performance.
• Assist Store Manager with people issues to avoid escalation.
• Build capability to manage all store aspects in the absence of the Store Manager.
