Job summary

Vision Express is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Wolverhampton store and help lead a high-performing team. You will partner with the Store Manager to coach staff, drive sales and ensure outstanding customer experiences.

You will develop colleagues, manage KPI-driven performance, and maintain store operations with a focus on compliance and service standards. A retail leadership background is essential, with readiness to step in when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams or supervising staff.
• Proven ability to coach and develop colleagues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort with using KPIs to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading and developing colleagues.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching and on-the-job training.
• Drive sales performance through KPI management.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and colleague engagement.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences and service standards.
• Maintain operational standards and compliance across the store.
• Lead the shop floor and act as store lead in the Store Manager's absence.
