Job summary

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store success and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will assist the Store Manager, develop your team, and drive performance toward ambitious sales targets and operational excellence.

This role requires effective leadership, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to develop colleagues to perform at their best in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role, ready to support leadership.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data to support decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer interactions.
• Experience contributing to KPI achievement and sales performance in retail.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, assign tasks and maintain standards.
• Coach and develop colleagues with real-time feedback aligned to expectations.
• Maintain high presentation, pricing accuracy, displays, and a safe environment.
• Carry out cash handling, till checks, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
