Job summary

JD Sports Fashion is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive store success and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will support and develop your team, work alongside the Store Manager to meet ambitious sales targets and operational standards, and lead by example on the shop floor.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, commercial awareness, and collaboration to achieve strong results while upholding brand standards and customer focus across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous retail management or supervisory experience (Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor).
• Strong leadership to guide and develop colleagues while reinforcing store priorities.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data for commercial decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional customer interactions.
• Experience achieving KPI targets within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocate tasks and maintain standards.
• Coach and develop teammates, providing real-time feedback and setting expectations.
• Maintain presentation, pricing accuracy, stock visibility, and a safe environment.
• Handle cash, till checks, deliveries, stock audits, and opening/closing routines; escalate issues as needed.
