Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Experience Manager to lead store operations and champion outstanding customer service. You will oversee checkout, front-end operations and store side activities, guiding a team to meet ambitious customer and performance targets.

Ideal candidates bring proven leadership in fast-paced retail, a strong focus on service, and experience driving KPIs across sales, stock availability and colleague engagement.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and coaching others to raise the bar.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to deliver against KPIs across sales, stock, and customer satisfaction.
• Comfort handling performance management, disciplinary processes and staff relations.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for overall customer experience across the store, from checkout to back of house.
• Manage front-end checkout operations and ensure service standards.
• Oversee operations in the store and petrol station (where applicable).
• Lead people management, performance and scheduling, and support colleagues with direction.
• Provide leadership in the absence of senior management and drive daily operations to meet customer commitments.
