Silver X in Sutton-in-Ashfield is seeking a Stock & Service Assistant to manage inventory accuracy, warehouse administration, and client coordination in a fast-paced 3PL environment.

As our new Stock & Service Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient warehouse administration, and smooth coordination between warehouse operations, systems, and clients. This role is critical in a fast-paced 3PL environment where accuracy, responsiveness, and process compliance are essential.
Maintain accurate inventory records across all clients and SKUs within the WMS
Conduct weekly cycle counts and full stock takes; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Monitor stock movements including receipts, put-away, transfers, picking, dispatch, and returns
Work closely with warehouse operations to correct stock variances promptly
Process inbound and outbound documentation accurately (GRNs, delivery notes, PODs, transfer notes)
Update and maintain data accurately within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Prepare stock reports, variance reports, and client-specific inventory reports
Liaise with clients regarding stock queries, discrepancies, and reporting requirements
Handle incoming calls, emails, and queries related to orders, deliveries, and returns
Provide updates on order status and resolve delivery issues
We're looking for someone who brings:
Experience in stock control is essential
Proven experience in warehouse administration or logistics support
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
