Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group seeks a Stock Controller in Ferndown to ensure stock accuracy and drive efficient warehouse operations. The role supports a growing business with new storage facilities and a clear path to a permanent position.

You will maintain stock across the fulfilment centre, investigate variances, and generate reports for management, while using a Counterbalance and Reach forklift and Mintsoft WMS. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven stock control or inventory experience in a fulfilment/warehouse environment.
• Current Counterbalance and Reach forklift licence.
• Confident use of a Warehouse Management System (Mintsoft).
• Strong experience with stock variance investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Strong spreadsheet and Excel skills, with experience producing stock reports.
• Organised, proactive approach with ownership of your area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock accuracy across fulfilment centre and pallet storage for in-house and 3PL stock.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances; escalate where needed.
• Plan and run stock counts, cycle counts and audits.
• Produce regular reports on accuracy, stock movement, losses and trends for management.
• Keep WMS records accurate and optimise storage locations for space efficiency.
• Operate forklift trucks to move, locate and replenish stock; guide Stock Control Assistants.
