Job summary
Pets at Home is seeking a Stock Controller at our Stafford Fulfilment Centre to manage receipt, storage and distribution of goods in a 24/7 operation. The role includes maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating transport, and ensuring safe working conditions within a busy warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have goods in/out experience, strong IT skills (Word/Excel), and a collaborative, detail‑oriented approach.
Qualifications
- Experience in a 24/7, live, operational environment.
- Experience in Goods in / out processes.
- Proficient IT skills with Word and Excel; ability to design and draft reports.
- Forward-thinking with a strong customer focus.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Creative and resourceful under pressure.
- Collaborator within the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate transport to deliver goods and maintain stock control systems.
- Manage stock placement and accuracy using the system.
- Ensure timely closing of POs and stock availability.
- Maintain and adjust the warehouse stock file and undertake stock counts.
- Support in improving productivity and space utilisation.
- Monitor weekly stock KPIs and assist in new process development.
