Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates is seeking an organised Stock Controller to join our busy warehouse team in the UK. This role suits someone with warehouse or stock control experience who can manage stock, paperwork and spreadsheets in a FMCG environment.

You will handle inbound/outbound deliveries, stock counts, FIFO rotation and documentation, while supporting traceability, audits and training of colleagues. A proactive, team-oriented approach is essential for success in this busy setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or stock control operations.
• Comfortable with stock records, paperwork and spreadsheets.
• Good communication and team player mentality.
• Forklift experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound deliveries, including loading and unloading.
• Pick, label and wrap pallets ready for dispatch.
• Book in deliveries and maintain accurate documentation.
• Complete regular stock counts and maintain FIFO stock rotation.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the Supply Chain Planner of shortages.
• Prepare stock and pick orders for production.
• Maintain stock records, spreadsheets and warehouse documentation.
• Report damaged deliveries and manage stock holds where required.
• Complete daily forklift and warehouse checks.
• Support traceability and auditing activities.
• Communicate with external storage providers regarding stock requirements.
• Support the training of warehouse team members.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
