Job summary

W Talent partners with a rapidly growing home services and installation group in the UK to recruit a Stock Controller in Barnsley. You will maintain accurate stock records, support inbound/outbound processes, and help keep a high standard of warehouse organisation.

You will work closely with the Stock Control Manager, updating NetSuite, conducting regular stock counts, and assisting with stock adjustments. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with development opportunities as the business

Qualifications

• Previous experience within stock control, inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems (NetSuite).
• Good organisational skills and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Proactive approach with problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Complete stock checks to ensure products are received accurately and meet quality standards.
• Replenish stock and maintain an organised warehouse layout.
• Carry out regular stock counts and resolve discrepancies; update inventory systems.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and assist with discrepancies.
• Support quality checks on outbound orders and report issues.
• Assist with supplier returns and stock handling processes.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to support stock planning and accuracy.
• Identify recurring stock issues and escalate to Stock Control Manager.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
