Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is hiring a Quantity Surveyor for specialist structural steel and engineering projects in Newport. You will manage the commercial side from cost planning through final account, liaising with project, engineering and site teams and external stakeholders to keep projects financially on track.

You will monitor budgets, cash flow and contractual requirements, prepare forecasts, and identify commercial risks before they impact delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Background in structural steel, steelwork, construction or engineering.
• Good understanding of construction or engineering contracts.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial performance of allocated projects.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and cash-flow forecasts; monitor budgets.
• Manage variations, valuations and contractual changes; support contract administration.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, Engineering and Site teams; liaise with clients and subcontractors.
