Job summary

Simply Recruitment Group are recruiting an experienced Steel Erector for a major Plymouth project. This is an immediate start on a long-term industrial assignment with a 12 days on / 2 days off shift pattern.

Competitive rates and a steady workload on an established industrial project. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, erect and align structural steel, and work closely with site supervisors and lifting teams to meet project specifications while adhering to health and safety

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proven experience as a Steel Erector.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience on industrial, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Erect and install structural steelwork safely and accurately.

Steel Erector - Immediate Start

Simply Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Steel Erector on behalf of our client for a major project in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled steel erector looking for an immediate start on a long-term industrial project.

Location: Plymouth

Duration: Approx. 3 Months Potential for extension

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Shift Pattern: 12 Days On / 2 Days Off

Key Responsibilities

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork safely and accurately.
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Aligning, positioning and securing steel structures.
• Working closely with site supervisors and lifting teams.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project specifications and health & safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven experience as a Steel Erector
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working on industrial, construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

• IPAF
• PASMA
• Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Working at Height certification
