Job summary

Simply Recruitment Group are recruiting an experienced Steel Erector for a major project in Plymouth. Immediate start available on a long-term industrial project.

Location: Plymouth. Duration: approx. 3 months with potential extension. Shift: 12 Days On / 2 Days Off. Rate: £28 per hour. Immediate start and ongoing workload offered on a large-scale site.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Card is required.
• Proven experience as a Steel Erector.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience on industrial, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork safely and accurately.
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Aligning, positioning and securing steel structures.
• Working closely with site supervisors and lifting teams.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project specifications and health & safety requirements.

Steel Erector - Immediate Start

Simply Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Steel Erector on behalf of our client for a major project in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled steel erector looking for an immediate start on a long-term industrial project.

Location: Plymouth

Duration: Approx. 3 Months Potential for extension

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Shift Pattern: 12 Days On / 2 Days Off

Key Responsibilities

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork safely and accurately.
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Aligning, positioning and securing steel structures.
• Working closely with site supervisors and lifting teams.
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project specifications and health & safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card
• Proven experience as a Steel Erector
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working on industrial, construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

• IPAF
• PASMA
• Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Working at Height certification
