Job summary

Integrate Resources is seeking experienced Steel Erectors for a long-term project at Hemerdon Mine, Plymouth. You will be responsible for safe installation and erection of structural steelwork in line with project drawings and site requirements.

Ideal candidates will have steel erection experience, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to working safely on site with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience erecting structural steelwork.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to a 6-month contract.
• Full PPE supplied and used on site.

Responsibilities

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Positioning, aligning and securing steel beams, columns, frames and associated components.
• Assisting with lifting, positioning and installation of steelwork.
• Bolting and connecting structural steel components.
• Carrying out steelwork alignment and adjustment as required.
• Working closely with lifting teams, Slinger/Signallers and site supervision.
• Using hand tools and relevant equipment safely and effectively.
• Reading installation information and maintaining high workmanship standards.

Duration: 6 Months

PAYE Rates:

Monday – Friday 1st 40 Hours: £25 per hour PAYE

Over 40 Hours +Weekend:£32 per hour PAYE

Lodge: £60 Per day

The Role:

We require experienced Steel Erectors to work on a long-term project at Hemerdon Mine, Plymouth.

This is a 6-month contract, with successful candidates responsible for the safe installation and erection of structural steelwork in accordance with project drawings, specifications and site requirements.

The successful candidates will be experienced in structural steel erection and capable of working safely as part of an established site team.

Duties:

• Erecting and installing structural steelwork in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Positioning, aligning and securing steel beams, columns, frames and associated structural components
• Assisting with the lifting, positioning and installation of steelwork
• Bolting and connecting structural steel components
• Carrying out steelwork alignment and adjustment as required
• Working closely with lifting teams, Slinger/Signallers and site supervision
• Using hand tools and relevant equipment safely and effectively
• Working at height where required
• Reading and interpreting relevant drawings and installation information
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity
• Ensuring work areas are kept safe, tidy and organised
• Following all site health, safety and environmental procedures
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required by site management

Required:

• Valid CSCS Steel Erector Card
• Previous experience erecting structural steelwork
• Experience working on major construction, infrastructure, industrial or structural steel projects
• Experience with steel connections, bolting and structural alignment
• Comfortable working at height
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings
• Full PPE
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to commit to a long-term 6-month contract

Desirable:

• IPAF certification
• Slinger/Signaller qualification
• Previous experience working on large-scale industrial or process-plant projects
• Relevant steel erection or structural steel qualifications
