Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services invites applications for a Security & Customer Service Officer at Birmingham New Street Station. You will be a visible, friendly presence, helping passengers, guiding through travel information and responding to incidents to keep the station running smoothly.

This role requires an SIA licence, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude. Shifts include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays to cover a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• SIA licence required and strong communication skills.
• Customer service experience preferred in security, transport or hospitality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn are important.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence across the station.
• Assist passengers with enquiries and travel information.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and disruptions.
• Support safe movement of customers during busy periods.
• Maintain accurate incident and operational records.
