Job summary

Ward Security seeks an experienced Security Officer to safeguard a prominent Birmingham facility. You will deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a clean, professional environment and uphold a high level of security throughout your shift.

Role requires SIA licensing, strong communication and IT literacy, with duties including ID checks, emergency response, and clear reporting to management. Monday–Friday, 13:00–18:00, 25 hours weekly in Birmingham B3.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
• IT literate with experience operating detecting systems and emergency equipment.
• 5-year checkable work history and previous security experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for staff and visitors.
• Provide clear information in person, by phone or email.
• Report issues to the supervisor or duty manager.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain professional conduct.
• Carry out ID checks and write up incidents to standard.
