Job summary

Mitie Group plc. at Birmingham New Street Station is seeking a Security & Customer Service Officer to provide a visible, reassuring presence, support passengers with enquiries, and promote safety across the busy transport hub.

You will respond to incidents, assist during disruptions, and help keep records of incidents and operations, with shifts including early mornings, late evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will hold a valid SIA licence and have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine commitment to customer service.
• Previous experience in security, customer service, transport or hospitality would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and reassuring presence across the station.
• Assist passengers with enquiries and travel information.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and disruptions.
• Support the safe movement of customers during busy periods.
• Maintain accurate incident and operational records.
