Job summary

Ward Security Limited in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Security Officer to safeguard a prominent facility. You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain a professional appearance, and act as a key information point for staff and visitors.

The role requires an SIA license, at least 1 year in security, strong communication and report-writing abilities, and IT literacy to operate security systems. Shift pattern is Monday–Friday, 13:00–18:00, 25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Minimum 1 year security experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of information for staff and visitors.
• Provide clear information in person, over the phone, or by email.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain composure under pressure.
• Write up incidents to management to standard.
• Carry out ID checks and maintain security protocols.
• Ensure reception areas and adjacent spaces are kept clean.
