tem is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Pricing to build and maintain the Pricing API behind RED, tem's modern utility product. You will ensure fast, correct pricing for real energy contracts for businesses and generators, shaping the service boundaries and driving reliability.

This is a senior role focused on backend and data-heavy pricing logic, with emphasis on correctness and explainability. You will lead the transition of pricing into a single service, design robust detection and

Competenze

• Deep production backend Python APIs at scale and ownership of APIs.
• Led a significant decoupling or migration of a live system without breaking dependents.
• Strong FastAPI and SQL; data/analytics-heavy systems where numeric correctness matters.
• Set technical direction across teams and negotiated service boundaries.
• Design multi-agent workflows to raise team throughput.

• Build & iterate the Pricing API to be fast, correct and third‑party ready.
• Untangle pricing logic into its own service with clear boundaries.
• Own reliability; design systems that detect pricing errors and explain unavailable prices.
• Raise engineering standards through reviews, standards, and multi‑agent workflows.
• Act as the go‑to engineer for live pricing incidents and implement road‑map fixes.
