Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a part-time Sports Nutritionist to deliver practical sport nutrition guidance within the sports academy, working as part of an interdisciplinary support services team to help elite athletes reach their potential.

You will educate student athletes and staff on fueling, hydration, and performance, and provide mentoring to placement students on the university MSc programme, with opportunities for professional development and flexible hybrid

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in sports science or nutrition.
  • SENr Graduate Accredited and willing to work towards Practitioner Accreditation.
  • Experience of working with performance athletes.
  • UKAD Advisor status.
  • ISAK Level 1 accreditation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sports science and nutrition services to the sports academy programmes.
  • Educate student athletes and staff on food and hydration for elite fueling.
  • Mentor and provide feedback to placement students on the MSc programme.

£14,281 - £14,708 per annum based on an FTE of £28,561 - £29,415 per annum

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will provide sports science and nutrition services to the sports academy programmes within Hartpury. Working as part of an inter-disciplinary support services team, and led by the head coaches for each sport, you will provide technical expertise to the development of elite athletes, supporting them to fulfil their potential.
  • The successful candidate will educate student athletes and staff, so they understand the principles of food and hydration in relation to fuelling an elite athlete.
  • Provide mentoring, regular feedback and professional development opportunities to placement students on the university MSc programme.
About You
  • You will hold a postgraduate degree in sports science or nutrition.
  • You will be SENr Graduate Accredited and willing to work towards Practitioner Accreditation.
  • You will have experience of working with performance athletes.
  • You will have (or be aiming towards) UKAD Advisor status.
  • You will be (or aiming to be) ISAK Level 1 accredited.
