Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College in Gloucestershire invites applications for a Lecturer in English to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills, inspiring learners to reach their potential and achieve qualifications.

You will provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, monitor progress, contribute to curriculum development, and work collaboratively with staff to improve learner outcomes. Hybrid working options are available with generous pension and staff benefits.

Qualifications

  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, a PGCE teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Possess a degree or equivalent in relevant subject area.
  • Is passionate about helping young people succeed.
  • Can inspire and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds.
  • Has experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills English (or transferable experience).
  • Is motivated to continuously improve and professional development.
