Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Patient Pathway Administrator for the Spinal Surgery Team, working across the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and John Radcliffe Hospital sites. You will provide comprehensive admin support, manage the patient pathway, and help meet RTT targets.

You will handle enquiries, maintain EPR records, coordinate clinics and theatre bookings, and support colleagues to ensure a cohesive, efficient service for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths, with strong administrative experience.
• Experience handling patient information and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
• Able to work in a high-paced environment and respond to changing service needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient administration service to Consultants, clinic teams and patients.
• Manage the whole patient pathway in line with Elective Access policies and RTT targets.
• Cover for colleagues during leave and sickness to maintain service continuity.
• Handle telephone enquiries from patients, carers, GPs and other users professionally.
• Maintain Electronic Patient Records (EPR) and other databases with up-to-date information.
• Coordinate outpatient clinics and theatre bookings to avoid under/over-booking.
• Extract data and run reports for the wider team as required.
