Job Title: Part-Time Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Wolverhampton, UK

Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time Only

Working Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days)

Salary: £15.53 - £18.62 per hour (Equivalent to £32,302.40 - £38,729.60 pro rata)

We\'re currently seeking a passionate and qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a newly established special educational setting that supports children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

You\'ll play a vital role in enhancing communication-friendly practices across the school and delivering specialist input to help each pupil reach their full potential. This is more than just a job-it\'s a chance to help shape the future of a growing service and make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessments and therapy to a small caseload of students with speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement personalised support plans.
  • Contribute to whole-school development by providing training, consultation, and reflective practice opportunities.
  • Be supported by an experienced Clinical Lead and work closely with the school SENCo.
Qualifications
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
  • Recognised degree (or equivalent qualification) in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Experience or interest in working with children and young people with SEND, particularly those with ASC/SEMH
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently within a team
