Job summary

UBT is seeking a commercially focused Specification Manager to drive market expansion in the UK construction sector. You will engage with architects, consultants, developers, and facilities management professionals to secure product specifications and convert opportunities from concept through to tender.

Working with sales, estimating, technical and marketing teams, you’ll own projects through the construction lifecycle, protect specifications, deliver CPDs and product demonstrations, and build

Qualifications

• Experience in specification sales or business development in construction products.
• Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle.
• Ability to build credibility with architects, consultants and contractors.
• Willingness to travel nationally as part of a field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, surveyors and other specifiers.
• Identify and secure product specifications on commercial projects.
• Deliver CPDs, technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Generate and qualify opportunities using market intelligence, CRM systems and industry networks.
• Manage projects from early design through tender and contractor appointment.
• Protect specifications and minimise product substitution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support successful project conversion.
• Maintain an accurate project pipeline and CRM records.
• Share market and competitor insights to support growth initiatives.
