Job summary

UBT is seeking a commercially focused Specification Manager to secure product specifications across multiple sectors in the UK. Engage with architects, consultants and developers, guiding projects from concept to conversion.

You will work with sales, estimating, technical and marketing teams to own projects through the construction lifecycle, ensuring specifications are protected and converted into profitable business. This is a field-based role with hybrid office support.

Qualifications

• Experience in specification sales or business development within construction products.
• Strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle.
• Ability to present technical information and influence product selection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, surveyors and other specifiers.
• Identify and secure product specifications on commercial projects.
• Deliver CPDs, technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Generate and qualify opportunities using market intelligence, CRM systems and industry networks.
• Manage projects from design through tender and contractor appointment.
• Protect specifications and minimise product substitution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support successful project conversion.
• Maintain an accurate project pipeline and CRM records.
