Specialist SEND Learning Support Assistant – Chelmsford, Essex

Specialist SEND (special education & complex needs) learning support assistant role is available at a Good Ofsted rated mainstream school in Chelmsford. The school actively recruits psychology or criminology graduates and experienced SEN behaviour support workers.

Contract details

  • Long-term contract (12 months, with the view of going permanent)
  • Possibility of a permanent contract from August 2026 for the right candidate
  • £88‑£105 per day (weekly pay)
  • ASAP start
  • Free onsite parking

Role purpose

Provide individualised support to children with complex needs, using restorative practices and behavioural support strategies.
