Job summary

Warwickshire College Group is seeking a Specialist Learning Mentor for The Cube in Royal Leamington Spa. The role focuses on mentoring 16–19 learners with neurodiversity and mental health challenges, enabling access to education and independence within The Cube and related sessions.

Role requires DBS check, commitment to safeguarding, and relaxation of independent learning with assistive tech. Salary is pro rata within the stated range for term-time hours.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Qualification relevant to Specific Learning Difficulties at Level 2 or above.
• Working knowledge of information technology: email, internet and assistive technologies.
• Experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition, anxiety or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-class or mentoring support during breaks or outside class as directed.
• Assist lecturer with adapting materials for named student.
• Promote independent learning using technology and assistive tools.
• Act as a key worker for designated students to help them meet EHCP outcomes.
• Support EHCP annual review processes and monitor individual targets.
