Job summary

Warwickshire College Group in Royal Leamington Spa is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students with SEND across multiple sites. The role involves mentoring, classroom support, and administrative duties to track progress and improve retention.

The post is full time, term time, with 37 hours, and requires a UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between sites. DBS checks are mandatory, and pay is pro rata to the academic year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND
• Proficient IT skills (e-mail, internet, common software)
• Strong administrative abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support or mentoring outside the classroom as directed by the SEN Team Leader
• Assist the class lecturer with preparation of materials for named students
• Promote and support independent learning
• Act as a key worker for designated EHCP students
• Lead EHCP annual review processes
• Collaborate with tutor/Personal Learning Adviser to monitor and review targets
• Contact parents as appropriate with permission
• Ensure students meet deadlines and catch up on work
• Attend Academy and Inclusion Team meetings
• Undertake administrative duties and maintain student progress records
