Job summary

Warwick College Group in the UK is seeking a Learning Mentor to support students with SEND within their learning programme and help them towards independence. The role involves working in classroom, workshop and practical settings.

On-site position with mandatory pre-employment checks, including DBS. Salary is pro rata at £15,206.84 per annum. You will record progress, support retention and communicate with tutors and parents as needed. Experience with EHCPs and teamwork is valuable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate basic English and Maths skills at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of IT: email, internet and common software.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
• Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and mentoring support to named students.
• Assist lecturers in materials preparation for named students.
• Promote independent learning and monitor progress with SEN Team.
• Maintain records of student progress and contribute to regular reviews.
• Coordinate with tutors and parents as needed.
