Job summary

Ryvita is recruiting a Specialist Hygiene Operative to support the Poole site. This permanent, full-time role involves 39 hours per week with paid breaks; salary is £27,106.92 per annum. Core duties include safe hygiene practices, HACCP-aligned quality control, and cleaning to high standards across the site.

You will help reduce waste and communicate effectively with shifts to maintain and improve cleanliness. The team values collaboration and a commitment to safety and food quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or hygiene environments.
• Knowledge of HACCP or food safety systems.
• Ability to follow safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe systems of work to protect health and safety.
• Follow quality systems to meet HACCP, legal and customer requirements; maintain external audit standards (e.g. BRC).
• Perform cleaning tasks per schedules and approved techniques; handle emergency hygiene situations when required.
• Be aware of waste streams on site; dispose of waste correctly and identify opportunities to reduce waste for efficiency.
• Communicate information with team/shift members to maintain high cleaning standards and drive improvements.

Hey there! Are you passionate about a career in manufacturing and want to support the Poole site by ensuring the successful and effective completion of specialist hygiene duties across the site?
We are on the lookout for a Specialist Hygiene Operative to join our friendly, dynamic team at Ryvita. As part of the ABF group, we have ambitious plans for growth over the next 5 years and we need someone with the drive and passion to help us get there.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 39 hours per week, including paid breaks: Sunday 06:00-16:00, Monday to Wednesday 07:00-15:00, Thursday 07:00-12:00 with Friday and Saturday off.
The salary is £27,106.92 per annum.

Key Accountabilities

• Be Responsible for adhering to safe systems of work processes and acting in a safe manner to always protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
• Follow all Quality systems and procedures to ensure our products meet food safety (HACCP), legal and customer requirements as well as maintaining external Audit standards e.g. BRC
• To carry out cleaning tasks according to schedules and approved techniques and to deal with emergency hygiene situations as and when required
• To be aware of waste streams on site, dispose of waste correctly and to communicate any opportunities to reduce waste therefore making the bakeries more efficient.
• To communicate and share relevant information with other team/shift members to ensure the highest level of cleaning is maintained and that standards are improved and driven forward.
