Job summary

BIDFRESH LIMITED is seeking Hygiene Operatives to keep production areas, machinery and site areas clean, safe and audit-ready in a fast-paced food production environment.

You will perform routine daily cleans and deep cleans, including dismantling machinery and using specialist cleaning chemicals, while maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting BRCGS accreditation.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with good time-management.
• Physically able to lift up to 20 kg and stay on your feet.

About the role

Daily Fishforms part of the Bidfresh Group, a principal British supplier of fresh produce to the catering industry; a national supplier with strong local heritage. The spectrum of our client base reaches from small independents to large national accounts.

A bit about the role

As one of our Hygiene Operatives, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our people, products and customers safe. In a food production environment, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene is essential — and you’ll be at the heart of making that happen.

You’ll be responsible for keeping our production areas, machinery and external site areas clean, safe and audit-ready. No two cleans are necessarily the same, from routine daily cleaning through to full deep cleans involving dismantling machinery, using specialist cleaning chemicals and making sure every area is thoroughly cleaned, checked and signed off.

It’s a hands-on, physical role, so if you like staying active rather than sitting behind a desk, this could be a great fit! You’ll be on your feet, moving around the site and working as part of a team to make sure everything is kept spotless and maintained to the highest possible standard.

Your work will also be an important part of helping us maintain our BRCGS accreditation and the high standards our customers expect from us.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in food production, warehousing or professional cleaning would be an advantage, ideally within a fresh produce, chilled or food manufacturing environment — but it’s not essential as full training will be provided

• A reliable and punctual approach, with good time-management skills

• Comfortable with a physical, active role, including lifting items of up to 20kg

• Good attention to detail, with strong organisational skills

• A positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in

• A genuine team player who is happy to support colleagues

• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn

• Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team

• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to maintaining high standards

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 6am - 3:30pm, 45 hrs. per week
