Job summary

Birds is hiring a Hygiene Operative at our Derby bakery on Ascot Drive. You will work 40 hours per week with a 9:00–17:00 Mon–Thu, 9:00–16:30 Fri, and 8:00–11:00 Sat schedule. This is a practical, fast‑paced role focused on cleanliness and safety.

You will help keep machinery and the site spotless, supporting safe, efficient food production. Training is provided; prior hygiene experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

We’re looking for a dedicated and hardworking Hygiene Operative to join our friendly and fast-paced food manufacturing team. This is an active, practical role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working with specialist equipment to keep our machinery and site spotless, helping ensure we deliver quality products our customers can trust.

Responsibilities

We are looking for individuals with a positive, flexible attitude who will be able to work under pressure without compromising hygiene, cleanliness, and safety and with the ability to work to a high standard in an efficient, clean, and tidy manner.

Shifts

Working Pattern = Mon to Thurs 9-5, Fri 9-4:30, Sat 8-11 (total 40 hours)

Experience

Must be able to work unsupervised and as a member of a team.

Qualifications

Previous experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided for suitable applicants.
