Job summary

Allied Bakeries, part of Associated British Foods, is recruiting Bakery Operatives to join our fast‑paced production team in Newcastle‑under‑Lyme. You will help produce high‑quality bakery products on a busy line and contribute to a safety‑sensitive factory.

Shifts are 12‑hour rotating, 42 hours per week, including some night work and weekends. We want motivated, reliable people with basic numeracy and literacy, a positive can‑do attitude, and a willingness to learn; training is provided with

Overview Of Role

Join Our Team: We are seeking Bakery Operatives to join our production team.

We are looking for motivated and hardworking Bakery Operatives to join our fast‑paced production team in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to build a career in food manufacturing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Location: Hovis Bakeries, Newcastle-under-Lyme. Salary: Starting at £28,791.60 increasing to £32,172.07 after successful completion of training.

Shifts: 42 hours per week.

This role operates 12‑hour rotating shifts, on a varied shift pattern, including night work and weekends.

What You Need To Know

As a Bakery Operative, you will play a key role in producing high-quality bakery products within a busy and highly regulated manufacturing environment.

• Engage in the Safety First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and housekeeping
• Monitor product quality and consistency
• Support the efficient operation of production lines
• Take part in training and development activities, including 1-to-1 sessions

This is a physically demanding role in a fat‑paced factory environment, so resilience, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.

The Right Person
