Job summary

A specialist education provider is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant based in Leeds, starting ASAP. Candidates must have experience working with children with Autism and SEMH. The role requires supporting children in the classroom, preparing resources with the teacher, and adapting practices based on children's varied needs. This full-time position offers a daily rate of GBP95 - GBP115, working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially with special needs children.
  • Level 2 training in support strategies required.
  • GCSE in English and Maths at grade C or above.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
  • Prepare resources with the teacher.
  • Work effectively in partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
  • Able to adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
  • At least Level 2 training.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade C.
Eligibility:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child related references.
