Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Cheltenham area specialist school. You will support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them access learning and engage with school life.
Role is suitable for graduates or those with youth-work or coaching backgrounds. You will work alongside teachers, support staff and will participate in creating a calm, nurturing classroom environment Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and engage positively with school life.
This Cheltenham-based special school supports students aged 11–16 whose needs cannot be met in mainstream education. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) related to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on providing a safe, inclusive environment where students are supported to thrive both academically and personally.

Previous experience is not essential. This role would suit graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, teaching assistants, or anyone with a genuine interest in working with young people.
