Axcis Education Recruitment is working with a specialist SEND school in Poole, Dorset, seeking a full-time Specialist SEMH & ASC Teaching Assistant to join from September 2026 or ASAP. Pay £95–£100 per day.
This school provides a well-resourced, supportive environment for primary pupils with EHCPs for SEMH needs, many with ASC. You’ll join a team of TAs dedicated to helping pupils access learning with structure and care.

This well-resourced and highly supportive school caters for primary-aged pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom also have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Pupils may attend on either a short-term or long-term basis and are supported to successfully access learning in a structured, nurturing environment.
You will be joining a superb teaching team and an experienced group of Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a genuine difference. The school is widely regarded as a positive, inclusive and supportive place to work, with strong leadership and a collaborative ethos.
This is a full-time role starting in September 2026 or ASAP, continuing throughout the academic year, with the potential for longer-term opportunities.
