Job summary

A leading education provider is seeking a Full-Time SEND Teacher to create engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a Qualified Teacher Status and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching SEND students. This role includes adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs and collaborating with parents and professionals to support student development. Competitive pay of £160 - £300 per day is offered for this permanent position.

Are you looking for a full time, permanent teaching role to start the new year in? If so please get in touch.

Job Duties:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEND
  • Knowledge of SEND codes of practise
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Training in Makaton or other communication systems

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
