Job summary

EANI is seeking a Classroom Assistant – Special Educational Needs to support pupils with diverse needs under the guidance of educators. The role covers classroom and safety duties, assisting with personal care, and promoting inclusive education.

The successful candidate will work within a school setting in Northern Ireland, adhering to Education Authority policies and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Essential: minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant area.
• At least 6 weeks experience in learning environment or placement.
• Alternative: 12 months experience in a formal learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with SEN pupil support and care in or outside the classroom.
• Support access to curriculum and personal needs as required.
• Contribute to inclusion and behaviour management under supervision.
• Assist with transport movement and safety for pupils.
• Prepare learning resources and support classroom administration.
