Job summary

Eani is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs within a primary setting in Ballymena. You will work under the supervision of the principal and class teacher to implement Education Plans and promote inclusive learning.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, supporting learning activities, managing classroom routines, and contributing to safeguarding and welfare of pupils. Training in health and safety is desirable.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in a relevant area.
• Minimum of 6 weeks experience in a formal learning environment.
• Alternatively, 12 months' experience in a formal learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with educational support and care for pupils with SEN.
• Implement education plans and participate in evaluations.
• Contribute to inclusive learning and pupil participation.
• Support with personal care and safety requirements as needed.
• Assist with classroom management and use of ICT/resources.
• Provide continuity of adult care and supervision during activities.
