Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are proud to support a well-resourced Primary and Secondary SEN school in Chelmsford seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping pupils with ASC, ADHD and communication needs.

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a calm, structured environment and to support personal care where needed, with ongoing consultant support

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach in challenging environments.
• Comfortable supporting both primary and secondary age groups.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
