Job summary

SMT Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager for the South of England, based in St Albans with hybrid working. You will own the south territory, win new business, build client relationships and drive revenue growth in Fire & Security installation, service and maintenance.

You will report to the Group Sales Director, manage the full sales cycle, and target profitable contracts. A competitive salary with commission/OTE is offered in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Fire & Security industry experience.
• Successful track record in Business Development or B2B sales.
• Experience selling installation, service and maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the South territory.
• Build relationships with prospective customers in private and public sectors.
• Generate revenue across Fire & Security installation, service and maintenance contracts.
• Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through to contract mobilisation.
• Develop a strong and sustainable sales pipeline and track KPIs.
• Research target markets and competitor activity; attend networking events.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare tailored quotations and proposals.
• Negotiate and close contracts while achieving revenue and margin targets.
