Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. seeks a General Assistant in Tonbridge to join a fast-paced catering team delivering snacks and lunch for around 700 students and staff.

The role is full time and permanent, with 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri) across 41.2 weeks including holidays. Previous catering experience is preferred and training will support career progression within a leading independent contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 food Hygiene qualification.
• Good verbal English.
• Written English and reading skills.
• Experience in customer and/or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare service areas for daily meal service.
• Set up, serve, clear, clean and store food, beverages or equipment for functions.
• Prepare basic food following hygiene and safety standards.
• Restock consumables during service to meet customer needs.
