A stunning B&I location in Shepherd's Bush for a new co-working community serving approximately 400 people daily. We offer breakfast, lunch, high-end hospitality, and pop-ups. The role operates Monday to Friday.
We have an excellent opportunity for a creative and effective Sous Chef to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in London.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare all food service areas for the day's business related to that meal service.
- Ensure prompt service of all meals and service standards are met at all times.
- Ensure preparation and presentation methods comply with company expectations.
- Prepare, set up, serve, clear, clean, and store food, beverages, or equipment required for daily service.
- Prepare all food for sale/service following hygiene and safety standards.
- Restock and replenish stocks and consumables during service, pre-empt customer needs, and ensure excellent customer service.
- Keep the front of house informed of food running out and prevent customer delays.
- Complete cleaning and hygiene duties as required.
- Serve customers, visitors, and guests according to company and client standards.
- Manage rubbish disposal and recycling appropriately.
- Assist in order preparation and placement.
- Ensure the kitchen operates in line with health & safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas at the end of each shift.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Notify the head chef of stock movements to ensure proper ordering for upcoming menus.
General Responsibilities:
- Attend all staff meetings as required.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, legislation, and company standards.
- Wear the correct uniform neatly and maintain high personal presentation standards.
- Conduct necessary checks such as food temperatures.
- Perform reasonable requests from management.
- Provide cover for colleagues when needed.
- Report hazards and ensure health & safety compliance.
Key personal skills and attributes:
- Teamwork, listening skills, initiative, personal hygiene, and behaviour standards; Food hygiene certificate preferred.
- Adaptability, reliability, honesty, customer service focus.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
- Ability to manage moderate heavy lifting.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Experience in customer service or food preparation preferred.
