Searcys is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team at 116 Pall Mall. As a Searcys Sous Chef, you will be an ambassador for the brand, delivering memorable food experiences. You will support the Executive/Head Chef in daily operations and mentor the kitchen team.

Job Description

The role is primarily Monday to Friday with some evening shifts, ideal for someone looking to join a dynamic department. As a Sous Chef, you will adapt to a diverse venue with multiple ongoing events, supporting the management of daily service and mentoring junior staff to deliver high-quality food.

Salary

£44,500 package, 45-hour week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of food and service, assisting with functions across the venue.
  • Manage the kitchen team in the absence of senior chefs.
  • Support training of junior staff.
  • Coordinate with team members to plan food provision.
  • Order supplies directly from vendors.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and menu consistency.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste control.
  • Ensure food presentation meets standards.
Qualifications
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and leadership.
  • Strong kitchen management skills and brand ambassador qualities.
  • Innovative culinary ideas for events and menus.
  • Supportive of a professional team environment, maintaining standards and client satisfaction.
  • Experience as a Sous Chef in events, hotels, or high-end restaurants.
  • Excellent mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
