Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen and act as the second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring top-quality food is prepared and presented to the pass each shift. You’ll be right in the action, running the line and supporting the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations.

You’ll oversee and motivate the kitchen team, helping develop skills while maintaining the highest standards of food and service, with opportunities to advance through our career pathways and apprenticeship

Qualifications

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift
• Run the line during service and ensure quality presentation
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team’s skills
• Maintain highest standards of food and service
