Job summary

Marston’s Plc is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team. You’ll be right in the action, supporting the Head Chef and stepping in when needed to ensure hot, quality food is presented to the pass.

You’ll manage the kitchen during service, help develop the team and uphold the highest standards of food and service. A supportive pathway offers opportunities to progress your career in a lively pub environment.

Qualifications

• Branded experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef is preferred.
• Able to assist the Head Chef and cover shifts.
• Capable of running the line during service.
• Strong focus on quality, hygiene and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Be in action on the kitchen line, second to the Head Chef.
• Support Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Run the line during service with efficiency and pace.
• Oversee, organise and coach the kitchen team to develop skills.
• Maintain highest standards of food and service.
