Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Marciano Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef and ensure every dish on the pass is consistently of high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior chef in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead shifts and manage a kitchen team.
• Strong focus on quality, hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth, organised and on spec from prep through to the final plate.
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand — supporting day-to-day operations and stepping up in their absence.
• Set the tone for high standards on the pass, with a sharp eye for hygiene and safety.
• Take ownership of key routines including prep, stock control, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and support the team to build confidence and deliver great food each shift.
